My Background
My background includes both medical and mental health settings, including work as an oncology social worker at a cancer clinic, where I supported cancer patients and their families. I have been a mental health social worker at the VA helping Veterans in crisis. And, I have been a therapist providing telehealth therapy for the past 4 years now.
I am passionate about this field as I personally know how profound and transformative therapy can be. My mental health journey was so profound, in fact, that I changed my career to become a therapist.
I originally graduated from USC as a business major, but felt unfulfilled. I switched career paths and got my Masters of Social Work at the University of Georgia in 2021 and have since felt real meaning helping others.
I believe the connection between you and your therapist is an important component of what makes therapy work. You should feel like your therapist hears you and really gets you. At the end of the day, my goal is to guide you in becoming the person you want to be.

My appointment slots start from 8am HST /11am PST to 5pm HST / 8pm PST.
In-network with the following insurance:
Hawaii: UHA, HMSA (PPO & HMO), HMAA, Tricare/Triwest
California: Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna and Evernorth, Quest Behavioral Health
*50-55 minute appointment is $150/session without insurance. I offer sliding scale options, meaning I have some dedicated spots I can offer at a lower cost for those that need it. Please ask!
My Therapeutic Approach
I utilize acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) guided by psychodynamic and attachment theory. ACT is a third wave CBT model that has been shown through thousands of empirical studies to improve symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma. However, not only will we work on reducing the negative stuff, we will also work on enhancing the positive stuff. We will work on getting in touch with the things that make your life meaningful.
Through psychodynamic and attachment theory, we will explore how your past experiences and relationships still affect you today. Together, we will process the painful past and stop the power it has over your life.
